Welcome to Castle Gate Outfitters. By booking a trail ride, pack trip, summer camp, or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. Reservations & Payment

Reservations are accepted online, by phone, or through approved booking platforms.

Full payment may be required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

Your reservation is not guaranteed until payment has been received.

2. Cancellation Policy

Trail Rides

Customers will receive a full refund or booking credit when cancellations are made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled ride.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice are non-refundable.

No-shows will be charged the full reservation amount.

If Castle Gate Outfitters cancels a ride due to weather, trail conditions, safety concerns, horse welfare, or other unforeseen circumstances, customers will receive either:

  • a full refund, or

  • the option to reschedule or receive booking credit.

To cancel a reservation, please contact us by phone.

Summer Camps & Pack Trips

Because of the planning, staffing, permits, and limited availability associated with these experiences:

All Summer Camp and Pack Trip reservations are final.

No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued unless required by law.

3. Weather & Safety

Safety is our highest priority.

Castle Gate Outfitters reserves the right to delay, shorten, reschedule, or cancel any activity because of:

  • Weather

  • Trail conditions

  • Horse health or welfare

  • Equipment concerns

  • Wildfire

  • Dangerous conditions

  • Any circumstance that may place guests, guides, or horses at risk

These decisions are made solely at the discretion of Castle Gate Outfitters.

4. Rider Requirements

For the safety of both guests and horses:

  • Riders must follow all guide instructions.

  • Riders must disclose relevant medical conditions that could affect participation.

  • Riders may not participate while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

  • Castle Gate Outfitters reserves the right to refuse service to anyone whose behavior is unsafe or disruptive.

No refunds will be issued if participation is denied due to safety concerns or failure to follow instructions.

5. Assumption of Risk

Horseback riding and outdoor recreation involve inherent risks that cannot be eliminated, including but not limited to:

  • Falls

  • Uneven terrain

  • Wildlife encounters

  • Changing weather

  • Horse behavior

  • Equipment failure

  • Personal injury

By participating, guests voluntarily assume all inherent risks associated with these activities.

Guests may also be required to sign a separate Liability Waiver prior to participation.

6. Age Requirements

Children under the required minimum age for a specific activity must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian or otherwise meet the participation requirements outlined for that experience.

Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and conduct of minors participating in our activities.

7. Photography & Marketing

During your visit, Castle Gate Outfitters may capture photographs or videos for marketing and promotional purposes.

By participating, you grant Castle Gate Outfitters permission to use photographs or video in which you may appear unless you notify us in writing before your activity begins.

8. Personal Property

Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings.

Castle Gate Outfitters is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged property.

9. Website Use

All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, videos, and branding, is the property of Castle Gate Outfitters unless otherwise noted.

No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Castle Gate Outfitters, its owners, employees, guides, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation in our activities or use of our website.

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the applicable reservation.

11. Changes to Reservations

We reserve the right to substitute horses, guides, routes, departure times, or itineraries when necessary to ensure guest safety, horse welfare, or operational efficiency.

12. Privacy

Your use of this website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

13. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the State of Utah without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located within the State of Utah.
